Reverence To My Lord

Lord God above the highest stars, you alone
are the architect and creator of all that exists

Time came to be at your command and by your
direction all that you have made is ordered by it

At the sound of your holy voice, that which was
not came into existence and remains by your will

The mere shadow of your glory gives light to the
sun at your whim and all that lives is sustained

There is nothing that exists but by your choosing
to allow it, for none can contend your power

None can defy you, but in your patience, you gave
choice to men to worship, or die by their disbelief

Great and unending is your mercy to those who
seek it true of heart, respecting your omnipotence

The mysteries and the complexity of your work
challenges the minds of men from all generations

Yet the greatest of your offerings to men is the
simplest in its' pure nature, the love of your heart

What can be said of you Lord God, that is equal to
your greatness? You have not yet created the words

Yaweh, as my heart bears witness to yours, I live
in awe of your presence, forever seeking to find them

For my God, my Father, my heart is your captive,
drawn by your love and mystified by your holy works

The Price Of Divine Desire (Reposted)

  We often stop to think about our own circumstances - our own wants and needs. Our own desires are continually within a hairs breadth of our current thinking... How often though, do we give any thought to what Jesus wants - to what He's allowed Himself to desire with a costly passion? Do those thoughts guide the response to Him that we're living out? When Jesus began His ministry in human form on earth it was with the desire to please His Father. He knew what He wanted and He already knew beforehand what it would cost Him. The price was very high, but wrapped up in that desire to please His Father was another desire also - because what the Father loves with such passion, the Son loves passionately as well.  As Jesus ministered to the people that came to hear Him along with the others that He encountered during those 3 years of His adult ministry, He demonstrated His love for His Father by His obedience, but He also demonstrated the love that He had for people.
