What If...

What if ... ALL men were created by God regardless of their appearance or stature among men? The Apostle Paul: “He is the God who made the world and everything in it. Since he is Lord of heaven and earth, he doesn’t live in man-made temples, and human hands can’t serve his needs—for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries." Acts 17:24-26 (NLT) What if ... we discovered that we had no right to create lines of division where Father God has said none exist? The Apostle Peter: "Peter told them, “You know it is against our laws for a Jewish man to enter a Gentile home like this or to associate with you. But God has shown me that I should no longer think of anyone as impure or unclean. So I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. Now tell me why you

Heart Anthem

Let my prayers become effectual to enact the will of Holy God. Let me not wander in many words to no avail, or toward resurrecting my own weakness, but in succinct phrase instead, to invite His power to enact the perfection of His will in all things that I am confronted with, toward the revelation and exaltation of His glory. God grant me wisdom, understanding and discernment beyond my own weak limits to confront the enemy where he lurks - hiding behind the vestment of many things. And give me legs to stand - bearing full upright within the mantle He has given me, as a testament of His own power and my inheritance through Christ Jesus. This hour has not come to mankind without holy intention to allow it, nor my life without holy purpose. I pray that in it, both the intention and purpose of the Lord God are fully realized and that the life that He has given me brings Him glory. His will I pray, above and through and in all things be done according to His own wisdom - including in

My Prayer

Lord,  Let my prayer become effectual to enact your will. Let me not wander in many words to no avail, or toward resurrecting my own weakness, but in succinct phrase instead, to invite your power to enact the perfection of your will in all things that I am confronted with, toward the revelation and exaltation of your glory. Grant me wisdom, understanding and discernment beyond my own to confront the enemy where he lurks - hiding behind the vestment of many things. And give me legs to stand -bearing full upright within the mantle you have given me, as a testament of your own power and my inheritance through Christ Jesus. Your will I pray, above, through and in all things be done according to your own wisdom - including in  and through me,  as well as in and through  this failing world  according to your great pleasure. Let me not lower or drop the weapons you have given me, but instead use them to the potential you intend until the day comes that I hear you say well done. This hour

Avoiding The Nuclear Disconnect

The world's media is on a mission with a bent toward the sick, scary, twisted, scandalous, salacious, wrong and disturbing - because it gets eager viewers and advertising dollars. As followers of Christ, we're continually being bombarded - intentionally acclimated on a continuing basis to information and things that run counter to the word of the God who created us. Some of it's served subtly at first, because if it were presented outright, we'd rebel against it. On the other hand, if it's subtle enough and we're subjected to it long enough without drawing our conscious attention, we probably won't really take notice ... and sooner or later, it'll just seem commonplace to us - Then comes the potential for resigned acceptance... ... But it's only our connection to the truth that allows us to exist in untainted true reality. In other words, if we allow the truth of God, given to us beforehand as the perfect road map for living successfully with Hi

The ABCs of Christian Survival And Growth - Time On The Water (re-posted from 2011)

There are numerous interesting people mentioned in the New Testament and of course none are even remotely as great as our Lord - There are of course, none fit to compare to even the shadow of His greatness. But among the other remarkable characters, I've always been drawn to be interested in the Apostle Peter. Having taken him from his humble beginnings as a raw, hard working fisherman, Jesus discipled him to become a fisher of men and gave to him the keys of the kingdom of heaven. But his transformation didn't really begin until he got his feet wet. It wasn't until he spent a little "time on the water" that the calloused fisherman himself was really hooked ... Before he came to know Christ, Peter was just a common man. He was singularly unimportant and without any reason to believe that his future would be much different than his past. He wasn't a scholar or a dignitary on any level. One might get the impression that he was coarse, passionate, outspoken a

Origin, Point And Destination - With Purpose

As happens so many times when I begin to write, this began with an inspired thought. But before I realized it, it morphed into something completely different than what I originally intended. I think it's important. So many people are caught up in their social presence and status, in pleasing themselves, in building perishing wealth and in passing their precious limited time in useless futility - It's a trap... ... It's a purposeful diversion, but not the intended purpose for life. There is indeed a devil whether you believe it or not. His name was once Lucifer, but having defied God and pitting himself against Him, Lucifer became known as satan and an enemy of God. But as He has proven time and again, God can use anything and anyone - even satan, to further His purposes. Despite his hatred for God and anything that God's created (that does include us), Father God allows satan to exist for a time to test our will and choice to serve the purpose that He created us
