There are times when we walk this life among grave consequences and are only separated from them by momentary decisions. There's a power in this world that seeks to devour us spiritually and pervert even our best intentions toward unholy goals. Our only surety, our only protection is in our consecration and devotion the one who's power can never be shaken and who's righteous plans can never be perverted. Even those who do not share the revelation of our God are subject to the same destructive intentions of the evil that roams the world we live in. But their blindness leaves them vulnerable to perish in unfathomable horror depriving the Father of His fondest desire.
This life is not given as a game to be played by careless boastful people living for worldly gain or seeking to prove their skill with words that cut hearts to bleed. Those who do these things are missing the purpose for their creation. They lack the revelation of the truth of our God. Don't be dismayed if these seem to escape repayment for their deeds. Nothing escapes the record of our God and if it's only delayed, their terrible reward will surely come with grief beyond comprehension on the day of accounting. But in the spirit of Christ's compassionate mercy, have the strength to pray for their redemption and repentance. Pray for them to gain the revelation of God's purpose for creating them and of who Christ is. For every spirit that He has given birth to is as precious to Him as our own. His deepest desire is to hold them close to Himself as His own little child. In the intimate and purest form of tender love, like a mother holding her own newborn child, He longs to hold them even as He holds us now. Even these who may show vile intention toward us, may become our closest brother if their hearts are changed by the revelations of our God. Pray not for their destruction or repayment of their deeds, but follow Christ's great example of compassion.
We are mere mortals, but the horrible acts meted out upon our Christ as He walked the earth among men were rendered upon a God. How awesomely terrible could His vengeance be on those who struck Him or spat on Him. But even as He hung dying on the cross, bleeding, broken and humiliated beyond anything we may have suffered, His words to our Father were out of compassionate love for them. They evoked a power far beyond any might of this world and demonstrated a love that we are left in awe of even to this day. An example of love and compassion that we as Christians are bound to follow just by declaring that we follow Him - "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do".
