Look Ahead, Look Ahead...

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:7-10 (NKJV)

There's nothing in this world more important than some of those things that many people seem to ignore, or even mock attention to. We watch as the cares, concerns, and passions of current society so often, far overshadow the simple, ever-living, truths of The God of creation. And to those of us who're aware of the true reality that rules above our lives and days on this earth, what we may see around us here may seem disheartening to us at times - but it doesn't change the reality that reigns beyond this short-lived and failing facade that we see before us now. Our lives and existence are, through Christ, no longer limited to the wicked brutality of this current society and world, but are destined to expand far beyond the horizons of what we now experience in this place. That because of the reality of grace that we have accepted and that was extended to us through Christ Jesus!

The torment and tormentors of the suffering we witness are not unseen by the hand that will meet out justice to them when this moment in time passes if the wicked remain unrepentant. Neither will the faithfulness be missed of those endeared by God's true character, as reflected by Christ Jesus, His Son, drawn to love Him with the fulness of one's heart - to surrender into the relationship with Himself that He ultimately created us for. What we enact, inspired by the root of undying love within us for the pure wonder of what we have found in Him, to be offered to the others that He loves, will not escape His notice - regardless of how small it might seem in the sight of others. What we reflect of the generous and grace-embroiled Spirit that we ourselves have become the grateful targets of, becomes a life song of worship that we lift up to His pleasure. And He does not fail to recognize that sweet aroma that He cherishes.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal".  2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJV)

I declare that many among mankind have attempted to misrepresent and intentionally defame the same God that created all of mankind (perhaps led by the same angels that were cast down from heaven), but that those who have sought Him out in humble earnest, to know Him as He truly is, are not mislead or disillusioned. Because we have actually come know glorious Him, our investment is not in shamefully settling for the hollow trappings of this place, but in that eternal economy of righteous values established by that same God who established everything that we know to exist and far beyond what we can imagine. We are not shaken or deterred by what happens in this place because we are never out of His hand. As we are faithful to love Him with unshakable love for all that He is, we are never without recourse because we constantly have His ear and attention as we abide in obedience to His declarations!

"Praise the Lord! I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. The works of the Lord are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. His work is honorable and glorious, and His righteousness endures forever. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant. He has declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. They stand fast forever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever."  Psalm 111 (NKJV)

Look ahead, look ahead, to that day that we know is not far off now! Whatever we may suffer here is nothing when compared to the day of our birth into the fullness of His grace filled covenant with those who love Him. It's the beginning of the life that He created us for in the hope that we would respond to Him with humbled, grateful spirits - forever in love with The Love that sacrificed all for the mere chance that we would respond in earnest sincerity to His courtship of grace! The wonder of all that He is will forever be ours as we thrive, dwelling in His close presence eternally! Look ahead, look ahead! It's not far off!

"He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:8 (NKJ)

“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good? Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the Lord your God, also the earth with all that is in it."  Deuteronomy 10:12-14 (NKJ)

This "Christ"mas...

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:8-14 (NKJ) As "Christ"mas approaches it usually finds me refreshing my knowledge and understanding of what I believe that it is that we as "Christ"ians should be celebrating in our observation of the event of Christ's birth. I do this in ...

If I Worry At All...

For the last year I've been engaged in a writing project that requires me to answer a series of questions posed over the fifty two weeks of the year. My answer to the last question that I chose to answer is one that I decided to share because it's always on my heart and mind... What do you worry about? I know that worrying itself changes nothing but there are some things that cause me deep worry. And of those particular things, there are none that I have the power to change on my own, but they are instead those that I have to appeal to Christ’s mercy to intercede. I have deep worry for the souls of all of my loved ones because I know that despite all that we might find concern for in our passing through of this world, there’s only one account that will, for all time, require an answer from all of us. That response, having already been made while we journeyed here, will leave us without further opportunity to answer. Our choice, made in this current life, will leave us either pr...

Caution And Reverence In These Passing Days

"But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber."         2 Peter 2:1-3 (NKJV) It's an inescapable fact that we were created by the same God that created the heavens and the earth and everything in them. Mankind may say or declare, even forcefully, anything contrary against it, but mankind's warbling has no effect on the truth of what God's said and it'll be proved out when He avenges against their wickedness in defense of His own name. There are those among the secular scholars and Darwinists- the "intellectuals",  that dispu...
