Merry Christmas!

If you're a true, active and committed follower of Christ Jesus, then the reasons for the observance of Christmas Eve and the celebration of Christmas should be well known to you.

The Prophet Isaiah predicted it hundreds of years before it happened as the Lord gave him knowledge of its impending...

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." Isaiah 9:6-7 (NLT)

And an angel of the Lord declared His actual arrival...

"For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen
!.” Luke 2:8-14 (NLT)

Now we might dispute the actual calendar date of His arrival as some might do, but nothing can diminish the importance of His arrival, the cause of His mercy critical mission, or our true and astounding motivation available for our observance and celebration of this grace filled occasion if we take it all in.

The Majestic King Of All Heaven And Earth, indeed The True CREATOR And LORD Of All That Exists, lowered Himself in complete and undeserved humility to arrive in the form of a mere frail human baby among us in the lowliest of circumstances. His mission among us was to suffer and die a most horrific death at the hands of His own creation in order to offer the hope to be able to save what He holds so dear - mankind. Imagine Him as He is in all of His glory...

... and then as He set aside His royalty and majesty to come to arrive and live amongst the depravity and filth of humanity on a rescue mission to save those who would choose to be saved from their crimes against Himself and His holy standards.

There was no justifiable reason in heaven for His self humiliation... except for love. His scandalous act of grace to come and live among us for a time to offer us the opportunity to be saved from eternal death and to educate us in the path of salvation and grace, to die in our place for OUR sins was completely undeserved, but it was planned from before the beginning of man. It was set to be the most amazing demonstration of love, a demonstration of our undeserved worth and value to Him as His own, and a standing invitation to intimate eternal relationship with Him. Indeed, the history of the bible from beginning to end is a love letter - one given in the unmatchable and extraordinary courtship of mankind. No romance can equal that actively offered by the greatest lover from the beginning of time.

We have more than just cause to observe and celebrate the arrival of The King Of Heaven. We have more than just cause to worship Him, not only this Christmas, but always, for His undeserved kindness and for the wonder of all that He is.

I pray that the full impact of the glory and wonder of Christmas finds and fills your heart and your home as we commemorate and herald the glory of His entrance among us...

... All hail Immanuel - God With Us! Our Eternal King Jesus arrived among us to save us! Celebrate Him with passion in honor of returning His passion for us! May God bless you richly and...

                                                 Merry Christmas!

"No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8 (NLT)

Where Truth Is Found...

"He that cannot forgive others, breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass if he would ever reach heaven; for everyone has need to be forgiven." - George Herbert, British Poet 1593 - 1633 The above is a true statement and one could give credit to George Herbert for his wisdom in that saying, but the truth and wisdom found in those words did not originate with him. They originated with The Author of truth and wisdom - The Judge of the universe... “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJ) ...Christ Jesus. With deception being a tool of the enemy   and being spread  widely with the help of mankind these days, it's a struggle for some to recognize what the truth really is. It's good for us who follow Christ to remember that whatever we might think or reason with ourselves to be true, our opinion c...

Fear not.

There's a lot going on in the world and a lot available to provoke fear for the future, but I have a question for anyone who might feel themselves tempted to fear - If you truly know God, does He ever change? “I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed." Malachi 3:6 (NLT) We stand reinforced in our understanding and belief that He does not change, so... "The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me.  I will protect those who trust in my name.  When they call on me, I will answer;  I will be with them in trouble.  I will rescue and honor them.  I will reward them with a long life  and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16 (NLT) I know that I said that I had "a" question, but I actually have another - do you really, truly love Him? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heave...

God Blesses Those...

"And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:... " Matthew 5:1&2 (NKJ) In the 5th chapter of the book of Matthew, we find Jesus teaching His disciples. What He taught them there is often referred to as the Sermon on the mount. And within that teaching are a number statements that are commonly referred to as The Beatitudes. I humbly suggest that whoever it was that coined that term might have been more accurate and to the point if they had called them  The " BE-  Attitudes" since Jesus was in fact telling His disciples both then and now, about the spirit of how to "be". “Blessed are the poor in spirit,  For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn,  For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek,  For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,  For they shall be filled. Blessed a...
