Lord,

In the midst of darkness, the great mystery and beauty of your character shine beams of righteousness, purity and holiness into the darkest corners like a beacon of life ... your perfection has no equal in all that exists

You are the origin of wisest counsel offering the keys of satisfying life to any who will listen and the examples of your character are life giving to those who follow ... yet men of dust seek to prove their own wisdom

You are the Creator and source of all that is truly good. The fruit of your Spirit is the essence of all that is true beauty and the desired goal of good hearts to replicate ... yet men still lust after things that decay

You have given life to all that lives and all that you have created obeys you save only some that you have given that choice. But in the end, you will not deny yourself justice ... choice is responsible to destine a foretold future

You walk among the stars and they reflect your glory. All the bodies of heaven orbit in a dance that you alone have decreed. Your power over all that exists is sovereign ... yet men shamefully regard their own strength

You alone possess the power to create. What men hail in their accomplishments are the mere reorganization or perversion of what you alone have already created to provide ... seeds of your grace to man

You hold life and death in your hand and mete them out according to your own righteous will. You are blameless and just in your rule over all that you have created ... yet some challenge your right to position

You are beyond true challenge, for there are none your equal. There are none worthy of their own accord to be measured against the mere shadow of your Glory ... yet some build reason for cause to boast of their own

While you created mankind for your own great pleasure and you alone make provision to sustain them, the hearts of men are tempted toward their own pleasure ... and in spite of their gain, are left lonely

While men of stature over others declare their arrival for all to see, as the majestic God over all of creation coming as the Savior of mankind, you entered quietly ... to claim a potent victory of the ages

While men struggle to elevate themselves and rise to power in triumph, Omnipotent God having all power and whose breath gives birth to stars, you came in humility ... the King Of Heaven as servant to men

While men seek the highest positions and attain the majority, Sovereign Lord, highest among the host of heaven, you made the choice to occupy the earth among the least ... humbled and alone to offer salvation to the nations

While men seek notoriety and fame, You came humbly without due fanfare and offered up your majesty as the atoning, bloody sacrifice for lesser beings seeking their redemption ... humility became power to save the world

While mankind struggles and toils to build from what you have already created. You merely exhale breathing out new heavenly bodies and worlds divinely. Your power is extreme ... yet still, some deny you

While all of your works are more than just and your compassion is present to hold firm your patience even in your anger against those who deny you, some still challenge ... and some dare to accuse you

These things being true, they provide the consternation to ask in distress:

Is it the unworthy arrogance of mere men or perhaps the preponderance of men's insolence that hides the power of your sovereign example from the minds of those who reject it? ... Whatever the cause, the end will be eternally the same. For you are Sovereign God ... omnipotent ... omniscient ... and omnipresent to be worshiped by creation without equal and without reservation.

My lot by your grace, is to submit humbly in recognition and acknowledgment of your greatness to receive the unimaginable wealth that is mine by your sovereign choice to offer intimate relationship to a lesser and undeserving being - one created merely in your likeness ... and to worship you with great pleasure.

Where Truth Is Found...

"He that cannot forgive others, breaks the bridge over which he himself must pass if he would ever reach heaven; for everyone has need to be forgiven." - George Herbert, British Poet 1593 - 1633 The above is a true statement and one could give credit to George Herbert for his wisdom in that saying, but the truth and wisdom found in those words did not originate with him. They originated with The Author of truth and wisdom - The Judge of the universe... “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJ) ...Christ Jesus. With deception being a tool of the enemy   and being spread  widely with the help of mankind these days, it's a struggle for some to recognize what the truth really is. It's good for us who follow Christ to remember that whatever we might think or reason with ourselves to be true, our opinion c...

Fear not.

There's a lot going on in the world and a lot available to provoke fear for the future, but I have a question for anyone who might feel themselves tempted to fear - If you truly know God, does He ever change? “I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed." Malachi 3:6 (NLT) We stand reinforced in our understanding and belief that He does not change, so... "The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me.  I will protect those who trust in my name.  When they call on me, I will answer;  I will be with them in trouble.  I will rescue and honor them.  I will reward them with a long life  and give them my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16 (NLT) I know that I said that I had "a" question, but I actually have another - do you really, truly love Him? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heave...

God Blesses Those...

"And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:... " Matthew 5:1&2 (NKJ) In the 5th chapter of the book of Matthew, we find Jesus teaching His disciples. What He taught them there is often referred to as the Sermon on the mount. And within that teaching are a number statements that are commonly referred to as The Beatitudes. I humbly suggest that whoever it was that coined that term might have been more accurate and to the point if they had called them  The " BE-  Attitudes" since Jesus was in fact telling His disciples both then and now, about the spirit of how to "be". “Blessed are the poor in spirit,  For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn,  For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek,  For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,  For they shall be filled. Blessed a...
