Let Us Pray to Pray

Lord God Yahweh, always, as we bow our heads to seek your will, give us revelation and remembrance of your greatness over all that is and of your unlimited and Holy power to respond to our prayers. Grant to us true and clear remembrance and knowledge of who you are so that our prayers may properly enthrone and honor you first in all of our requests. Give us hearts and minds not only completely surrendered to your heart and desires, but committed to them in place of our own. Give us the words Lord as we pray to you that will alter the course of this world and the reward of our brothers wandering in the darkness of the enemy's plan. Put on our lips and our minds the words that will break the hand that shields their eyes from the truth of your existence and all that you have spoken.

Give revelation to our hearts and minds of the prayerful words that will allow your glory and power to be revealed in the world in greater measure as we bow before you in reverence. Grant us Lord, in your mercy to us, the keys to unlock your will to be done in the world and the courage and wisdom to use them for your glory. Speak into our prayerful minds the words to unlock the storehouses of heaven to meet the needs of a suffering world that all men may see the true source of our provision and sustenance and give glory to you, our true provider.

Lord, grant us wisdom beyond our own ability by your Holy Spirit. Give us the the ability to see our condition and the wisdom of this world for what they are. Expose to our hearts and minds the shallow value of the world's intellect and the depth of our need for the wisdom of our God. Let your wisdom become the ruling conviction and perspective of our lives by which we live with great pleasure. Restore and renew our minds to the fullness of your perspective so that we may be whole and so that our prayers will be effective in your kingdom to bring about your will even in the earth. Replace our understanding gained by our exposure to the world with heavenly revelation of the truth that has existed before us and that lives forever exposing your glory.

Lord, Adonai, please give us eyes to see as you see. Give us ears to hear as you hear and minds that think as you do. Teach us your ways and help us to walk in them without fail. Give us hearts that are moved by the things that move your own. Lord, grant us these things that we may truly be called the children and friends of our God and bring great joy to your own heart. Oh Lord God, we know that our success in the mission of this life is in our relationship to you and the pleasure we are able to bring to your great and awesome heart. Do not let us fail you Lord. Even our success in our life's mission is dependent on your grace to us. It is our desire to fulfill your heart's hope and purpose for our creation and enjoy forever the great and fulfilling wonders of your overwhelming presence. Great and awesome Lord God over all that is, with humble and reverent hearts, exalting your greatness and grateful for your mercy, please hear the sincerity of our hearts as we pray for the wisdom to pray for your will to be done.

Amen

This "Christ"mas...

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:8-14 (NKJ) As "Christ"mas approaches it usually finds me refreshing my knowledge and understanding of what I believe that it is that we as "Christ"ians should be celebrating in our observation of the event of Christ's birth. I do this in ...

An Observance And Observing True Reality...

As Easter approaches, I begin once again considering how our God sees our observance of an occasion as I always do and also what He might truly desire of us in observance above any of our trivial, man inspired traditions . What I come away with in firm conviction is the understanding that the most trivial of my sins, the least of my crimes against God, had the power to forever damn me in His judgment of me and send me into unending torment. And that knowing this one thing in truth and as reality, is key to my correct posture before God in honor of His purpose in the event. That key being the horror of knowing that the price of my very least sin was the shedding of my Christ Jesus' blood and His horrible suffering, because the reality of this brings the deep rending of my heart in awe and gratitude and it makes possible my true joy at the relief of my sentence because of what He has done. I believe this is a part of what God would desire from us in observance of Christ's death a...

The Real Power To Affect Change

I know that my position here may not be popular on it's face at first, but I think it could be most revealing of where some hearts are - even my own, by the response that it evokes... I think it's possible that we're all partly responsible for the chaos and darkness that is constantly swirling around in the digital tornado that is the constantly hammering news these days. While we may not have contributed to it directly by our own actions, it's a good bet that we may have contributed to it by our own inaction. Where does the true power to change things come from? And who is our best example to follow in this life? Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed." Mark 1:35 (NKJ) "Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God." Luke 6:12 (NKJ) "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought ...
