Born To Kneel Before The King

“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit."
 Isaiah 14:12-15 (NKJ)

There's little question that Lucifer's refusal to yield to God's majesty, power and dominion, and accept Him as God over himself cost Lucifer his place in heaven ... but in light of that fact and example to us, how much consideration do we give to the fact that we're living out our own response to God now in these days that are testing our own submission?

"Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow. Bow down Your heavens, O Lord, and come down;
Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Flash forth lightning and scatter them; Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them."                      Psalm 144:3-6 (NKJ)

Could it be that all the length of our lives on earth is given to us in the hope of bringing us to the point of accepting all that God has made available for us to know about Himself and ourselves - to the point that we, of our own volition and in  complete submission, acknowledge that He is God, Lord, King and all that He truly is, in our own hearts, minds and spirits while satan looks on? I believe that we were born in part for this.

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever."                 1 Chronicles 28:9 (NKJ)

I believe that David, King of Israel's words to his son Solomon hold a brief summation of the absolute truth to our lives. I believe that if we refuse to seek to know God as He truly is and give Him His due, not only in dominion over us, but as He desires and deserves - for all that He is, we choose for ourselves to have no value to Him. If we refuse our submission to Him, we will ultimately have cast our own selves into the fire based on our own choice. There are many around those who follow Christ that are unwilling to believe this and some of them even call themselves "Christian" who are unwilling to believe that God would allow anyone to be cast into the fire, or even believe that there is in fact a place called hell. Some might point to the length of time that has passed since scripture warned us of these things and hold.it up as a sign of their impotence, but the Apostle Peter addressed their concern...

"knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."   2 Peter 3:3-9 (NKJ)

I believe that we were born into this life to be sorted as valuable wheat from worthless chaff - the wheat being the fruitful yield of hearts in full, willing submission, to the God who reigns over heaven and earth and all that is in them. But of what use is the chaff? By their choice to be chaff, in the words of John the Baptist, their fate is sealed...

His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire.” Luke 3:17 (NKJ)

Submission - It goes against the grain and tide of a world that hoists a banner of living and thinking contrary to what God has said, but rather than being a self absorbed individualist who challenges God's right to reign over humanity or even that God exists (such insanity), our complete submission to the very God who created us is not optional if we hope to avoid the fire. Our escape from the inferno though is by no means the only reason that we should offer our willing submission. Those who sincerely seek to find Him and those who seek to know Him do find Him and come to know Him. Those who know Him as He truly is come to love Him with intensity - for all that He is and find themselves willingly submitting to His beauty, immeasurable love and care for those who choose to love Him.

My respect and honor for the God who set the foundations of the earth, gave His decree to the laws of nature and in all of creation that He that He formed from nothing but the sound of His voice, my awe and gratitude for all that He is, has done and is doing, lead me out of love for Him to willingly and intently, kneel before The King -
For this ... I was born.

"He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:8 (NKJ)

“And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good? Indeed heaven and the highest heavens belong to the Lord your God, also the earth with all that is in it."  Deuteronomy 10:12-14 (NKJ)

What If...

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. "  Hebrews 4:12-13 (NKJ) I'm not one who appreciates the stoking of fear for the sake of it or unnecessarily. There are enough things in this life to keep people concerned and even constantly fearful if they subscribe to them. I would like though, to take a moment to encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ and any others who will take a little time to read this and give it some serious consideration because the subject has real   potential  consequences and there's still time to address any issues that we find upon reflection... If you were made aware that   sometime in the next hour  your life on earth was ...

Judging, Judgment And Judge...

"I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken. I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.” John 12:46-50 (NLT) A lot is said these days about "judging", but in the midst of that popular societal buzz and the assertive comments that come with that conversation, I have a question: If God has called something sin and we simply agree with what He's said,... are we judging or just repeating and declaring the truth? When He walked the earth, Jesus spoke about judging and He pointed out the danger of our judging...  “Do not judge other...

An Observance And Observing True Reality...

As Easter approaches, I begin once again considering how our God sees our observance of an occasion as I always do and also what He might truly desire of us in observance above any of our trivial, man inspired traditions . What I come away with in firm conviction is the understanding that the most trivial of my sins, the least of my crimes against God, had the power to forever damn me in His judgment of me and send me into unending torment. And that knowing this one thing in truth and as reality, is key to my correct posture before God in honor of His purpose in the event. That key being the horror of knowing that the price of my very least sin was the shedding of my Christ Jesus' blood and His horrible suffering, because the reality of this brings the deep rending of my heart in awe and gratitude and it makes possible my true joy at the relief of my sentence because of what He has done. I believe this is a part of what God would desire from us in observance of Christ's death a...
