Adoring Dispense

Who is equal to the sovereign Lord and what oblation of obeisance is not due Him?

The thundering and cataclysmic devastation of all that we know would simply be the faintest whisper of His power. His reach extends to the farthest corners of an unending universe. There is no escape from His gaze and no limit to His mighty and terrible power ... and no measure capable against the expanse of His unfailing love for it is without limit...

His justice towers over the unjust and the wicked as an object of impending terror and date of recompense, yet His mercies are extended to the guilty submissive to Him in repentance and redemption. As the origin of all that is just, He offers the freedom of choice even to future destiny. If any perish, it is through their freedom to choose it...

He reigns above all that exists and stands high over the heavens in unequaled power and glory, yet has the heart of humility to suffer exquisitely in the quest to redeem what is so unworthy. He suffers heart breaking injustice at the hand of His own creation in a search for true beauty - His quest to find what He treasures... sincere love, freely offered...

He is the father of all fathers to those who choose to be His true children. His counsel and correction are the joy and treasure of those who call Him Abba in truth. His wisdom followed becomes their crown of honor and unperishing wealth under the audience of the heavens. They will not be disappointed and their hearts' desire will ever be for Him...

He is blameless and perfect in His ways and wisdom. His compassion is toward the powerless, the humbly broken and those who suffer others' misused freedom to choose. He will take an accounting and exact justice against the injustices they have suffered in the day of reckoning and will lift them up. He is the rescuing savior of all that are His children ...

In His omnipotent power He speaks what He will and His perspective is the truth of what exists before men without question. Only fools speak against Him or challenge His decrees for it is in the face of His compensation toward their own spoken destiny. He will stand before all men and the host of heaven to defend His reputation against them...

But for those of spirit kindred to His own, He will hold them close on that day. They will see Him with adoring eyes and fellowship with Him throughout endless time. Their tears will be wiped away and all they have suffered in their journey will be counted as nothing against the day of their reunion with Him in the indescribable glory of His presence...

Stars may fall and the earth collapse to be rolled up like a scroll, but their contentment and joy will never be diminished in their wondrous inheritance through His unearned grace. Far beyond the reaches of harm and in the presence of overwhelming glory devoid of sin, peace will finally reign and the desiring spirits of men be at graceful rest...

Oh Lord, indeed you are good! It is forever my loving joy to echo the truth of your own declaration - that You are God and there is no one like You.

This "Christ"mas...

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,  Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." Luke 2:8-14 (NKJ) As "Christ"mas approaches it usually finds me refreshing my knowledge and understanding of what I believe that it is that we as "Christ"ians should be celebrating in our observation of the event of Christ's birth. I do this in ...

An Observance And Observing True Reality...

As Easter approaches, I begin once again considering how our God sees our observance of an occasion as I always do and also what He might truly desire of us in observance above any of our trivial, man inspired traditions . What I come away with in firm conviction is the understanding that the most trivial of my sins, the least of my crimes against God, had the power to forever damn me in His judgment of me and send me into unending torment. And that knowing this one thing in truth and as reality, is key to my correct posture before God in honor of His purpose in the event. That key being the horror of knowing that the price of my very least sin was the shedding of my Christ Jesus' blood and His horrible suffering, because the reality of this brings the deep rending of my heart in awe and gratitude and it makes possible my true joy at the relief of my sentence because of what He has done. I believe this is a part of what God would desire from us in observance of Christ's death a...

The Real Power To Affect Change

I know that my position here may not be popular on it's face at first, but I think it could be most revealing of where some hearts are - even my own, by the response that it evokes... I think it's possible that we're all partly responsible for the chaos and darkness that is constantly swirling around in the digital tornado that is the constantly hammering news these days. While we may not have contributed to it directly by our own actions, it's a good bet that we may have contributed to it by our own inaction. Where does the true power to change things come from? And who is our best example to follow in this life? Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed." Mark 1:35 (NKJ) "Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God." Luke 6:12 (NKJ) "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought ...
